Bill Whitney Bill Whitney began his study of painting in 1964, influenced by the abstract artists popular at that time.

He has studied under well-known Northwest artists such as Claude McGraw, Josephine Cameron, and Jack McLarty at what was then the Museum Art School, now the Pacific Northwest College of Art, and The Oregon School of Arts and Crafts.

He has shown his paintings at northwest galleries and libraries since the early 1970s, including several shows at the Doll Gardner Gallery at the West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Portland. In 1994 the Doll Gardner Gallery presented a 30-year retrospective of his work. He also has paintings in private collections.

The following pages are examples of his paintings. If you have an interest in purchasing or seeing more of his work, please use the contact form on this site.
